You don't mess with Texas and that also goes for "Mighty T" here -- though now a decommissioned floating museum the USS Texas saw action during both World Wars, escorting convoys across the Atlantic -- providing artillery support in the North African campaign, the landings in Normandy, the battle for Iwo Jima, and Okinawa.

The canvas is colored with an assortment of spraypaints with a coat of black over the top. Then, through a subtractive engraving process, The black paint is removed exposing the image and colors below. The last step involves 2 clear coats to help preserve the piece.
