Life, leather, and a new season ahead

Life, leather, and a new season ahead

It’s been a minute since the last update, and honestly… life has been moving in the best kind of way. Since November, a lot of meaningful things have happened both in the shop and here at home. On December 25th, I officially published my novella — a personal creative milestone that’s been years in the making and a reminder of why building a life around creating things matters so much to me. Here on the homestead, my wife and I have been deep into planning mode for the upcoming growing season. This year’s garden is expanding to include sweet corn, green beans, and squash alongside last year’s lineup of beets, cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, lettuce, zucchini, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. We’re adding more raised beds, tackling a few small repair projects around the property, and taking down some dead-standing trees — the kind of steady, hands-on work that makes this lifestyle so rewarding.

January also brought a new member into our family. On the 12th, we rescued Teddy, our 7-year-old Rough Collie, and he’s been slowly settling in over the past couple of weeks. Watching him decompress and find his place here has been something special. On the business side, we quietly launched our Homestead Blend coffee at the end of November in partnership with an excellent roaster out of California, and the response so far has been incredibly encouraging. Thank you to everyone who’s grabbed a bag — you’re helping shape the direction this brand is growing. Looking ahead, the first product drop of the year is coming a few weeks before Easter. I’ll be releasing a wallet design that’s never officially been sold on the site before, along with another piece I’m keeping under wraps for now. This year is shaping up to be one of building — in the garden, on the homestead, and at the workbench — and I’m glad you’re along for the ride.
